Kem Tolliver is the President and CEO of Medical Revenue Cycle Specialists. She is the author of, “Revenue Cycle Management – Don’t Get Lost in the Financial Maze” and “Advanced Strategy for Medical Practice Leaders.” She is the co-host of “RevDive” Podcast. Her healthcare certifications include Fellow American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), Certified Professional Coder (CPCP) and Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM). Kem received Bachelor of Science degrees in Healthcare Administration and Organizational Management / Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude.
As a national Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Transformation expert, she leverages over 25 years of proven organizational leadership across Primary Care, Behavioral Health and multi-specialty organizations. With a reputation for innovation, Kem leads organizations in mapping technology with optimal workflows. Kem excels in identifying and capitalizing on revenue sources that improve care and mitigate risk.
She develops and delivers national Revenue Cycle, Practice Management and Coding education, publications and certification programs for industry leaders such as: Howard University, University of the District of Columbia, Health Care Leaders Association (HCLA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Practice Management Institute (PMI) and American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Ms. Tolliver provides local and national board-level leadership to Medicare Administrative Contractor LCD Advisory committees, National medical associations and hospitals to strategically align RCM, Practice Management, Software optimization and Coding effectiveness. The Medical Revenue Cycle Specialists team provides strategic leadership on New Practice Start Up, RCM software optimization for denial reduction, coding audits and risk mitigation, revenue enhancers, Revenue Cycle and Practice Assessments with process improvement plans.
