    Kathleen M. Premo is a Shareholder at Epstein Becker Green and a member of the firm’s Steering Committee, where she serves as Co-Lead of the Business Services Group and leads the General Counsel Advisory Services group. With more than two decades of experience as both outside counsel and a General Counsel/Chief Legal Officer for healthcare organizations, Kathleen brings a rare, executive-level perspective to complex legal and business challenges.

    A trusted advisor to healthcare leaders nationwide, Kathleen counsels organizations on mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives. She has personally led more than 125 acquisitions involving hundreds of medical practices across the country, guiding clients through every stage of expansion with precision and pragmatism.

    Kathleen’s clients span the healthcare continuum, including medical groups, MSOs, hospitals, telehealth companies, post-acute providers, and private equity-backed healthcare platforms. She regularly advises on growth strategies, payor contracting, participation in government programs, fraud and abuse compliance, and executive leadership transitions.

    Widely recognized for her business-forward approach, Kathleen seamlessly integrates legal strategy with operational and financial realities. She frequently serves in interim or fractional legal executive roles, helping healthcare organizations navigate periods of opportunity and transformation—while safeguarding continuity, mitigating risk, and positioning them for long-term success.
